My Dad in the UK has a G5 iMac with the teeny keyboard. Talking to him last night on Skype, he said he had been unable to do the £ symbol (as I just did by Option + 3). He says there is no Option key on his keyboard Huh -- does anyone have any advice in this department?

Turn on the U.S. and British keyboard options in System Preferences > Language and Text > Input Sources, and then choose Show Key board viewer under the flag in your menu. You can see that pound is located in a different place between the USA and British keyboards. There is also a difference with extended keyboards, and PC keyboards... perhaps by fooling around with these keyboard settings and using the keyboard viewer he can get a handle on where special keys are on his particular system.

Thanks Robert >> I've passed on your comment. Sounds likely he'll be able to sort the problem out.
