Zone free Mac?

Hi all,
Is there a way to make a Mac zone free? I ordered some movie DVDs from the US and want to keep playing them on my iMac but after 5 viewings the message pops up and i have to chose which zone i want my Mac to be in. Is there a way round this short of copying the DVDs with Handbrake?
Thanks,
Julian

If you look around the net you'll probably find some program--probably a firmware updater--that will do it but later there will be a system upgrade or Apple firmware updater that breaks that and/or the whole computer.
As long as you've been using Macs you must have at least one extra one. If so, forget about firmware fixes and make one Mac Region 1 and the other Region 2 (if those are the regions you want to use) and that's the end of your problems.
