When I downloaded my new beloved Windowshade they suggested an additional install:  "Smart Crash Reports."  I saw that there was an uninstall option and the blurb seemed logical and so I installed it, but..... dunno.

Good idea to have done that?

It should be no problem. The company, Unsanity, is reputable and the reason given seems legitimate. Uninstall if you have trouble.

Thanks, Colin!  I guess the issue is (as occurred to me repeatedly at the meeting when we discussed very cool apps) ... unless it's obvious (the app crashing etc), I always wonder how I will know which app might be causing subtle problems that arise (some of which not even Ian Shortreed understood). Questions that knowledgeable geeks raised about Windowshade is what kept me away from it for years. Guess that's what great about KMUG - I can ask!
