Apple Care Renewable?

My Apple Care Protection Plan of 3 years will end in mid-2009.

An Apple employee told me that I would not be permitted to
buy another 3-year Apple Care plan when this one expires.

Is that really true?

Yes, as far as I know, that's true.  I guess they figure things shouldn't go wrong in the first 3 years, but they well might in the next 3 years. 

...Anyway, a 6-year old computer?  That would be positively ancient!
