I just got the following email this morning from munanoor@omantel.net.om (I don't know this person(

Dear user blissosaka@mac.com,

Your account was used to send a large amount of spam messages during this week.
We suspect that your computer had been infected and now contains a hidden proxy server.

We recommend that you follow our instruction in the attached text file in order to keep your computer safe.

Sincerely yours,
mac.com support team.
There is an attachment that I have not opened:
1 Attachment, 39.3KB (Show)

I've deleted this address from the aliases on .mac
What more need I do to rid my computers from this problem....?

It's a phishing attempt, maybe with a malware payload - one that got through the .Mac spam filter.

If you still have the message, you can mark it as junk in your email software, but next time it will probably be from a different address.

Then delete the message and empty your trash.

I don't know exactly what would have been in the attachment. Most likely a script to take over your computer in some way. You should not open such attachments even when they _are_ from people who you know.

.Mac users may be able to give you more specific advice.
