Title: Emptying trash
Post by: Robert Seltman on November 15, 2015, 10:53:37 PM
In the finder use to be a way to make a full emptying of the trash, but now,  perhaps because of the inaptitude of iTunes, my trash is filled with mp4 files that will not go away... Is there an easy way to fully empty the trash?

I've had the same problem. It seems to be a problem related to putting videos and other items on an iPhone or Ipod. If you delete the item from iTunes you must also sync whatever device they were stored on. The easiest way to deal with the problem is to quit iTunes, empty the trash and then restart iTunes.
Please add this to the list of reasons someone high up in Apple needs an ass-kicking.

Thank you that worked like a charm... I depend on iTunes everyday and it remains kludgy and buggy despite numerous updates.  i hope someone at apple sees this and has the power to fix it but the truth is iTunes may be beyond repair and needs a complete remake. Too big to fix...
